30 Ghosts [text; fail locked to Youmu, open to delayed action from roommates]

[Danny sneaks silently toward the front door of the apartment, hoping to avoid waking any of his roommates up.  Casting one last look around the dark apartment, he quickly types and sends a short text message before stepping through the door into the hallway.]

[No sooner has she said this than Youmu's ghost half arcs in front of her in lieu of a sword. Fist sized, arrowhead-shaped motes of light, glowing purple-white are cast out of it like sparks--and they dart right at Danny.

They're fast, but not terribly so.]

[Danny wastes precious seconds staring at the attack, but at the last moment his entire body turns translucent blue as he turns completely intangible.]

More of the same, really--well, there are two ranks of them this time. Myon makes two passes. But they are otherwise identical.]

[This time Danny is a little more prepared... and so is the large dome shaped translucent green shield that flickers into view around him.]

[The outermost bullets are deflected by the shield, simply dissipating when they get some distance away. The ones that strike the shield head on seem to fizzle and...stop in place, as if unsure what to do next.

After a moment, they too disappear.]

Again.

[A new wave of bullets appears; this time not as a straight line, but more of a proper barrage.]

[Danny holds his hands out in front of him, palms flat and facing forward, and frowns in concentration as he reshapes the shield into a more powerful and solid flat circle in front of him.]

[The torrent of bullets crashes against the shield with more force, flashing brightly before they disappear. Part of danmaku was theatrics, after all.

Youmu was content to create more bullets as needed; this wasn't terribly taxing, and she had never seen this kind of green shield before.]

[Danny keeps focusing on not letting the shield falter against the barrage of bullets. He carefully extends one leg behind him and lowers his center of gravity to help brace against the force of the impacts.]
