[Give her a second she has to hobble over there.]

[When she arrives Danny is there waiting in ghost form, perched on top of a large pile of rubble.]

[Youmu is either floating or...walking, slowly, it's hard to tell exactly what she's doing. She's not putting much weight on her bad knee, though. And she's armed, though carrying her swords around was practically second nature.

She spots Danny without too much difficulty. The ghostly blob floating over Youmu's left shoulder floats up over her head, as if watching.]

You seem to have gotten up there just fine, Danny-san.

[Danny stands up and jumps off the pile, floating slowly to Youmu's level. He doesn't land, choosing instead to float about a foot off the ground with his legs bent slightly.]

Flying has always come to me the easiest.

From:

What else can you do, while airborne?

[Youmu has started to lift off the ground too, though not nearly as high.]

From:

I can use any of my powers when I'm in the air.

[Danny starts ticking the powers off on his hands as he lists them.]

Intangibility, invisibility, I can create shields and throw blasts of ectoplasm, the ghostly wail...

[omai.]

Ghostly wail?

From:

Yeah. It's my most recent power, but I'm not going to even try to pull it off until I have better control. This city is already damaged enough without me helping.

From:

...I can only imagine.

[Youmu is picturing one of those screaming ghosts sailing across the sky like a comet that made her want to hide somewhere.]

What are your aerobatics like, Danny-san?

[A bit of an odd question, but when your would is full of flying people that solve everything with bullets it seems very necessary to ask.]

[He shrugs and drifts up slightly.]

Last time I clocked myself I was getting close to hitting the 200 mph mark. And I was pretty good at dodging attacks. Though I'm probably horribly out of practice now.

I may be able to help with that.

[Youmu's myon drifts down to her side now, about the same level as her swords.]

Really? That's great. I mostly had to learn on the job before.Great for motivation, not so great for getting non-lifethreatening practice in.

From:

... We need to work on your locks.

From:

[brb, checking what he wrote.]

Okay, it's not bad. I think. I didn't mention anything about ghosts.

From:

No, you didn't. So you're safe there.

Leo and Jazz might not be so happy, though.

From:

Jazz will just have to get used to me disappearing at night again.

From:

That sounds familiar. We sneak out all the time back home.

From:

Yeah, I tried to run patrols every night looking for ghostly trouble. Soon as I can get some retraining done I should probably start that up again.

From:

Sounds like a good idea. You'll be able to cover a lot of ground by flying. And you can come help any of us out if we run into trouble while patrolling at night.

From:

Other people patrolling... That's kind of a novel idea for me. Well, other people patrolling who don't put tearing me apart molecule by molecule as a priority over teaming up to fight a bigger threat.

From:

It's just one more thing you'll have to get used to, then.

... What do you want me to call you when you're in your ghost form, anyways?
