37 Ghosts [video/ action for roommates]

[Danny had turned on the communicator, planning on asking Sam a question.  But before he can say anything he freezes, staring at something across the room.   His face twists into an expression of complete loss and devastation, even as he jumps jerkily to his feet and screams.]

No!  Mom!  Dad!  Jazz!  Sam!

....I

I did this.  This is all my fault.  I couldn't save you.

[She hadn't seen the network post, but she had heard Danny's shouts. Leaving her communicator on the bed, she grabbed her own elbows, visibly shaking herself, and headed to the source of the shouting.]

Danny! Danny, what is it?

[Danny just keeps staring at an empty space along the wall and shaking.]

[There is a small part of her, packed away somewhere, that's relieved. Not because she's happy Danny's in apparent pain, but because she's been having problems, too, seeing things that aren't there -- and she knows that none of them are real, but that much is almost impossible to reconcile.

So, instead, she just approaches Danny, grabbing him by the shoulder and giving him a pull.]

Danny. Danny. Look at me.

[There is no recognition or response. He just keeps staring with a horrified, guilt-ridden expression.]

[She's not really sure what to do -- or how, exactly, to get his attention, because she's more than just a little on the panicked end of the spectrum herself. After a second, she smacks his arm, shouting:]

Danny!

[Youmu has no clue what just happened but that can't possibly be good.]

[Danny is still caught up in his own private nightmare and isn't responding.]

[When that doesn't elicit a response, Youmu stops yelling through the network and takes off.


Some time later, there is a rapping at Danny's window.]

[She can't very well speak through glass--but her communicator has been reactivated for this purpose. Youmu's voice is coming most distinctly from that.]

[Someone is about to make a ghostly visit, least until she knows the coast is clear. She'll phase in right from the wall outside. Okay, she sees nothing and looks at you.]

[Don sees the post and doesn't respond, instead rushing up the stairs and into Danny's room.]

[Don blinks. Well, this wasn't what he was expecting. He walks towards Danny, his worry now mixed with confusion.]
