25 Ghosts

Well, looks like yet another weird day here.  Anyone know what the heck these crystal things do?

[Danny picks up one of the crystals... and nearly drops the crystal from numb fingers.  That...  He knew that place.  It was the Ghost portal.  But before it had been activated.  And that... that was him.  In a white jumpsuit.

Wait a moment!  If he was wearing that, and the portal wasn't activated yet... Oh this was so not good.  With a panicked expression he awkwardly fumbles the crystal into his pocket and desperately lunges to cut the connection on the communicator.  He succeeds, but not before a muted scream echoes out of the crystal muffled in his pocket.]

Only when Dad remembers to lock the Fenton Ecto-Lock. But the Ecto-Exodus alarm usually goes off if a big crowd of them are headed through it.

Who, me? I'm just a kid. I leave that to the Professionals. Like my parents.

[And was this an opportunity to start building up some positive PR for Phantom? Danny pauses as he weighs the risks. On the one hand it would be amazing if it worked and there was at least one person who didn't assume that Phantom was a monster when he showed up. On the other hand this could backfire so badly. And was going to be horribly embarrassing.]

...And we can usually count on Phantom to take care of the ghosts too.

[ Be careful, Danny. He's either going to think the Phantom is an American hero like him, or he's going to flip the fuck out and start crying.

Or he's going to incorporate Danny Phantom into the Rail Tracer story.

...That will probably happen anyway. ]

He's a ghost who fights other ghosts. No one knows why, but he's saved the entire city a few times. And rescued a lot of people.

[This will probably end badly. Danny can never get public rumor to work for him. But it will be something if he can start establishing that Phantom is a different person.

...Or possibly all three.]

Some people think he might be some kind of superhero. But since he never sticks around after rescuing people, its kind of hard to figure out why he does it.

[Man, was this embarrassing. Still, Danny figured that if there were any kinds of rumors of a Phantom who was definitely not Danny Fenton going around it would help with keeping his secret identity once Phantom showed up for real. Preferably positive rumors, though he'd take anything that didn't involve Danny Fenton and never mentioned the name 'Invisobill'. Avoiding the whole public ghost enemy #1 fiasco again would be a pleasant side effect.]

A superhero? How can a ghost be a super hero? Ghosts are scary! They're the scariest things ever!

[ On the bright side, hearing about it now means that America is less inclined to suddenly go after Phantom with a shovel and shotgun. ]

Don't ask me, I don't know what goes through a ghost mind. I'm just saying that he's stopped a lot of ghost attacks and rescued tons of people. He ever stopped the ghost king and saved our town from being trapped in the Ghost Zone forever.

[This is a good thing. Nothing good ever comes of vigilantes and angry mobs with shovels.]
