[Danny sighs as he paces the second floor of the apartment.   He didn't know anything about medicine.  Certainly not enough to help with the kinds of injuries Knuckles and Raph had received.  After making it back to the apartment from the utter disaster the festival he had hovered uselessly, before deciding that he could help more by not being in the way.   And now all he could do was worry.  He couldn't even make himself stress over the way he had been forced to reveal his full skill in fighting in a rather explosive way and the questions that was sure to bring eventually.   Or the way he had completely broken all those promises about never drawing the attention of the Shredder creep.

But now... it had been hours.  Surely something must have happened by now.  He picks up his communicator and decides to text it, so everyone could ignore him if they needed to.]

Well waiting here isn't doing anything but spreading Bad Vibes and they aren't gonna help anyone.

Why don't you help me in the Kitchen, if Don's spending this long he's going to need some coffee when he's done, and no one ever thinks of food at times like this unless they're about to keel over themselves from hunger.

[Danny stiffens at the gesture, but doesn't fight it. This was Mikey, he reminded himself. Not someone he had to get away from.]

[Danny thankfully takes the opportunity. He knew that he was probably being overly paranoid. But... all of his instincts said to stay out of situations where he couldn't move freely. No matter the reason. Especially with his ability to fight his way out of situations so crippled.

For a long time Mom and Dad thought that experimenting with ectoplasm as a cooking fuel was a great idea. There are very few things more traumatizing then nearly getting eaten by your Christmas Turkey. And thats not even getting into the Frankenfurters.

That...sounds like something out of a comic book, or a cartoon. Nothing in this kitchen is gonna try to eat you.

Well first of all we need is boiling water, and if you look in that cupboard over there. [Mikey points to the cupboard in question.]You'll find some coffee, Powdered Milk and Sugar, and there's mugs on the draining board...I'll get started on the sandwiches while you do that?

[Mikey's opening the fridge taking out some monster meat to make the sandwiches.]

Hope no one will mind having sandwiches with no butter.

[Meat left on the counter Mikey pulls some bread he'd gotten from the soup kitchen from another cupboard, and pauses when Danny speaks..]

Danny Food is never just food...

[The turtle reaches back into the cupboard and pulls out... a couple Apples? And puts them to one side. Before turning back to the sandwiches.]

It tasted about the same. Word of advice, letting an Ultra-Recyclo Vegetarian rewrite the school cafeteria menu does not go over well. With anyone.
