schrodingersghostDanny is a halfa or half-ghost, one of only three to exist. Each of them became a half-ghost in a different way.
Danny became a half-ghost when he entered his parents experimental ghost portal. While trying to fix the device in his parents absence, he accidentally pressed the on-switch [which was located inside the portal]. Trapped inside the invention as it bored a hole into the alternate dimension where ghosts lived, Danny's DNA was coated with ectoplasm as he was severely electrocuted. When he stumbled out of the portal, the boy discovered that the accident had left him with the ability to transform into a ghostly form of himself.
When he is in his ghost form Danny always has white hair and glowing green eyes. He always wears a black and white hazmat suit with a DP logo on his chest. He glows faintly even in daylight. His skin is lightly tanned, but always cold to the touch. Danny's ghost form is built around a core of extreme cold, which he has only recenly learned to control. He occasionally needs to release the built-up cold energy in the form of his ice manipulation powers. If He doesn't do this the cold will escape on its own, freezing everything around him.
In his human form very few things give Danny away. He can use his powers in human ofrm, although they are weakened. When angry his eyes glow green. His temperature is well below normal. And any test for blood or DNA will show that he is not genetically normal.
