The answer from Danny makes Don chuckle slightly.]
I got stuck in 15 century earth fighting a sorcerer. And zombies, giant cockroaches, and guy and a dragon that had fused into one being.
[A pause. He's... considering. And then doesn't say it.]

[Danny chokes on a laugh. That sounded like one of his days.]
...When I was a kid Dad accidentally sent our house to another dimension for a week. And... I got stuck once in an alternate reality where Mom married a creep instead of Dad and I didn't exist.
...I prefer to believe that never happened.
[...Danny glances away uncomfortably, trying to figure out how to say this. And if he even wanted to say anything. After a long pause he continues softly.]
There... There was another time too. That sucked. That really, really sucked.
I'm sorry, Don. Raph told me what happened to you.
[And all other threads of the conversation fall away at that last fact. He knew that his brothers knew, that Raph had broken his promise to not tell anyone. But.. there were others beyond his brothers that knew?
He goes very quiet. And then gives off a bit of a bitter, tired laugh.]
... Yeah. T-That's the time that sucked for me. [He closes his eyes. And then, after a moment, he makes a guilty sounding comment.] ... It's selfish of me... but part of me wants to see that Mikey again.
...I couldn't blame you for that. [How could he, when sometimes he still wondered how the few survivors of that future were doing. Was Valerie still alive? How were the mutilated versions of all his enemies handling their afterlives. Did they even still exist, or had his decision to change the future made that reality vanish?]
I don't think anyone could.
And I don't know much. Raph just told me that there had been an accident with a time scepter. That you were stuck in a bad future.
....And - that you saw everyone die.
No one should ever have to see something like that happen. [No one else. Not ever.]
Then they were morons. And so was whoever who was supposed to be keeping an eye on it.
[Danny briefly imagined what it would be like to be trapped seeing those few moments between the explosion and Clockwork's appearance over and over again and shivers. His dreams right afterwards had been bad enough, even knowing none of it had happened, would happen in his own future.]
The Time Scepter had a mind of its own. Lord Simultaneous wasn't too worried.
[He's quiet again, then sighs.]
... Yeah. [Donny doesn't know what to say beyond that.] .. I-I'm kinda glad you know, though. Outside of my family-- [That includes April. Kinda includes Casey, but Case isn't the type for this sort of thing.] --you'd be the first I'd tell.
Obviously it didn't have a very good mind of its own if it thought that was a good idea. At least when Cl- Um, never mind.
[Great, way to lay on the guilt. An interesting mix of expressions flicker across Danny's face. Guilt, sadness, determination, self-hatred, remembered pain and horror, fear... Suddenly Danny felt like the most awful hypocrite, even though he knew that keeping his own trip to the future to himself was the right thing to do. It was his own fault, and his own responsibility. No one else needed to know. Not even Jazz knew the full story.]
There's always hope. No matter what, there's always hope.
[He nods.] I'll.. try to keep the "line" open, I-I guess. I've only told Raph a little, only told him once... but... [He's just quiet.] I'll try to.. work through it, I guess.
[A blink, and then Donatello surprises himself with a laugh.]
... Okay, okay. I won't blame myself.
[And he doesn't hesitate.]
Then don't be alone. If Raph told you what happened to me, and thought it was appropriate, then you're pretty much extended family. Don't think we really have room in the apartment for you permanently, but you're welcome to sleep over.
[Don pauses for a moment, then rubs his neck awkwardly, looking a bit sheepish.]
I'll try not to wake you up with nightmares. But.. if Raph's told people, they're going to start pestering me, and I'm going to have to start telling them stuff. Means I should be getting better, right?
[For a moment this offer completely blindsides Danny. They were offering help? They thought of him as extended family? And didn't want to control him?]
