10 Ghosts [accidental video]

[The camera view spins dizzyingly as it clicks on.  You can catch brief snatches of color and frantic movements.  The camera finally slows to a halt, making the action resolve into a lone teenage boy facing off against a group of colorful puppets.  Danny is breathing harshly and judging from the number of minor injuries visible has obviously been at this for quite some time.  As the marionettes speed toward him again he tenses and and backflips several times to make some space.  As soon as he regains his feet Danny grabs the thermos from his belt, unscrewing the lid in a smooth practiced motion.  A bright light and strange high pitched sound immediately emit from the open container as Danny firmly points it at the monsters.  The light doesn't seem to have any effect, but it startles and scatters them.  Danny breathes a heavy sigh of relief as the monsters finally flee.]

Just because you're heading to your apartment doesn't mean you're there and safe yet. You might be quick on your feet but I've seen faster.

[Knuckles knows he's being a grouch, even for him, so he at least tries to sound a bit friendlier when he speaks next.]

[Danny frowns. Would it be more suspicious to accept the help and try to conceal all his fighting ability or to turn it down and have people wandering why?]

I've been here a while. Arrived about two weeks before that big blizzard.

I'm near the church and I'm headed for Horton.

[And now Knuckles kinda want's to face palm, because that really isn't far. But People have died closer to their destinations than that so he's not about to back down.]

And I'm in the park, I won't keep you waiting long Danny.

[And up a tree Knuckles climbs so he can glide over to you, since he's going over the buildings instead of around he really doesn't take long.]

[Knuckles drops to the ground and is forced to look up at Danny thanks to being a shrimp their differing heights.]

[Danny glances up, not nearly as surprised as a typical teenager should be. One might even think he was used to people arriving by air.]

[This Knuckles is from Mobius, not earth, he's used to people not being surprised by others flying. Although if he had known Danny wouldn't have reacted he might have dropped down without giving himself away first. Just to drive home the fact that he could be attacked from above.]

Amy Rose? Several actually.

[Danny was somewhat relieved that he hadn't been surprised. His usual reaction to something dropping out of the sky aggressively would have been really hard to explain away.]

I've talked to her a few times. Didn't realize that was such a common name around here, though.

Heh, it's not the name that's common.

Some of the worlds we've been taken from are very much alike. She knows a Knuckles in her world, and I know an Amy in my world, but we didn't know each other until we got here. There used to be a few of us in that situation...not so much anymore.

She was one of the first people I talked to when i arrived here.
