schrodingersghost: (Who Me?)
[personal profile] schrodingersghost
Every time I think that my life couldn't possibly suck any more, it suddenly gets worse. Like it isn't enough to be stranded in some kind of creepy abandoned city. No, NOW we have to worry about starving and freezing. And monsters.

Is there any good news here? Ever?

Rent's free. And I know an apartment building that has heat. And because of the cold, there's a lot less monsters around.

[TEASING VOICE.]

[Minato chuckles softly--it's more gentle, and it's obvious that it isn't malicious laughter.]

Sorry. I just have a teenage son myself. Can't help but tease sometime. It's a parent's job, right?

It's how they share their love and harden you against the real world.

Of course. We remember when our parents did it to us. It's tradition! Quite possibly written into our DNA.

And plus you get to meet a lot of interesting people. You have to look at the bright side of things to get through with every day life here.

Heyyyyyy! .... You only say that because I've half-adopted you.

[Minato's voice gives off mock sadness.]
