Every time I think that my life couldn't possibly suck any more, it suddenly gets worse. Like it isn't enough to be stranded in some kind of creepy abandoned city. No, NOW we have to worry about starving and freezing. And monsters.

Is there any good news here? Ever?

We could be outside. There could be acid rain, earthquakes, floods, or other natural disasters. We could lack running water. We could have less food than we do now. We could have more people here and run out of food faster. Those chips could be malfunctioning and be making us crazy, someone could have had their chip removed, or someone could be going on a killing spree, all in the middle of this.
