[Danny is perched up on the roof of Horton and wrapped in a blanket. He leans back against a piece of debris and stares up at the night sky.]

Another world, huh? Funny, it didn't really sink in until I saw the stars. The constellations are all wrong here. And yeah, the two moons are a pretty big clue that something is not right here.

...I wonder how everyone at home is holding up.

[He sighs and holds the communicator up.]

Anyway, I guess I should introduce myself to the neighbors. I'm Danny Fenton, and I just moved into Horton. Anyone have any advice on getting settled in?

[He repeats this last part in text before leaning back and staring up again.]

Probably good advice for any place. [But considering his only defense was a thermos? Danny was not looking forward to testing whether it would have any effect on living monsters. Not without his ghost powers.]

...Shapeshifters? Mind filling me in on that?

I forget the exact number. Somewhere on the first floor.

Ah, uh, aint sure yer aware of this or not, but if ya got any powers, they're likely blocked, by a chip that the scientists sticck in everybody when they get pulled here.

Ah, yeah shapeshifters. These ones can aparently take over peoples bodies, or identities or something. Atleast ones attacked somebodys friend as them.

I've heard something about it. Any idea how you get it out?

...Not that I have any powers to worry about.

[A short silence. That sounded an suspiciously like overshadowing.]

Has anyone seen what they really look like?

Yeah, there's one of two doctors, I think that remove the things, just be warned that once it's removed, you'll be extremely sick for like a day or so, and I mean extremely, stay in bed, throwing up anything you eat or drink, sick, though by the second day, you can usually drink and eat. Then if you do have any, they go whacky for like a week.

Not that I'm aware of, no.

All bad news, huh. Figures.

There any local ghost or monster hunters who take care of that kind of thing?

Afraid so.

Nope, not that I know of, sorry. Nobody specific, alot of people hunt monsters, some for meat, others to just make sure they don't hurt people.

But no scientists? No one who goes around trying to dissect them and do experiments? No government goons?

Weird.

...Wait, people eat the monsters?

Well, there are scientists, we just don't see much of them, but scientists are the ones that dragged us here.

Yes, it's meat, it's something to eat.
