We've got trouble.   Vampire trouble.  One of them attacked a kid and tried to scare him into not telling anyone.

He's going to be okay. But he was really freaked. It took a few minutes of arguments to get him to agree to go to the hospital. He was completely convinced that the vampire would come back and kill him if anyone else found out.

I know, because the kid was freaking out. It was like pulling nails to even get why he was so scared out of him.

...Or so I heard.

And that's about it. There's one here that attacked a kid, drained his blood enough to make him need a trip to the hospital, and threatened him.

Basically? Someone is saying that we've been bad. It's a part of all the Christmas nonsense. Good children get toys, bad children get lumps of coal.

Yeah, he was lying about it. His legs were fine, but he'd lost enough blood that he couldn't walk by himself. Whoever attacked him had him totally convinced that they would come back and kill him if anyone else found out.

Not even Dad has tried to turn table seasonings into ghost weapons. He stopped with the thermos and vacuum cleaner.

Um, noted? [Danny felt slightly guilty at that promise. But it wasn't like he could admit to spending a few hours every night patrolling the city. And a knife wouldn't do much against the kind of trouble he usually found.]

According to the story, you get coal if you've been bad at Christmas. I don't think that's really true, though, since the person Santa is supposed to be based off of was a nice person and nice people don't give other people coal. Even if they're mean.

I got some candy for Christmas! Nothing strange happens when you eat it--I was scared it would, but it doesn't Would you like some? I know I won't eat it all, and I don't want it to just have to get thrown away.
