[If anyone makes an attempt at calling Danny, they will only get static at first. A moment, two, and a voice starts coming in over the static, glitching enough to be almost unrecognizable at first. Finally the static clears enough to be recognizable as Danny's voice. Or at least a Danny's voice, but condescending in a way he had never been.]

Oh, I'm sorry. Were you trying to reach Danny? He can't come to the phone right now.

[ Some smugness comes into his voice. ] After all, he's got far better things to do now than worry about something as useless as friends.

Leave a message if you want. I might consider passing it on. If there's something in it for me, of course.

Then again, maybe I'll just throw it in the trash where it belongs.

[Eve listens to the recording silently. It sounds like Danny... but also not. Which immediately brings to mind memories of another group kidnapping.]

[There were demons here again in Zodiac, weren't there? Was it just a coincidence? Either way, something was going on. And Eve had no plans of standing by doing nothing while her quest partner was lost in the darkness. Hopefully Danny's doppelganger was less violent than her own.]
